One SOS reaches everyone

Family Circle links up to five people under one plan. When anyone in the circle triggers an alert, every member is notified at once with the live location — so the people who'd drop everything for each other are already connected.

Roles

Organiser

The member on the Family plan who creates the circle. Holds the invite code, adds and removes members, and manages the subscription.

Member

Anyone who joins with the code. Full personal protection on their own account, plus the shared circle alerts. Can leave at any time.

Everyone in a circle keeps their own account, their own contacts, their own settings and history. Family Circle adds a shared layer — it doesn't merge accounts.

What each member can see

During an alert: every member sees who triggered it and their live location, until it's resolved.
Normally: members see the circle roster and who is set up — not each other's live location.
Shared emergency contacts: the circle can share a common set of emergency contacts so a child's alert also reaches a parent's contacts.
Any member can trigger an alert that notifies the whole circle — useful for children, older relatives, or anyone who may not be able to explain where they are.
No member can read another member's private alert history or turn off another member's protection.

One Family subscription covers all five members — they don't each pay. Safety Credits can go toward it.

Inviting people

The organiser upgrades to the Family plan and opens the Family tab.
Tap Create circle — Safe-Alert generates a short invite code.
Share the code (the app has a share button) with up to four people.
Each person installs Safe-Alert, opens Family, and enters the code to join.
The organiser sees each member appear on the roster with their setup status, and can remove anyone later.

Five members total, including the organiser. If the circle is full, remove a member to free a slot.

Protecting a class, team, or estate instead?

Family Circle is for households. For a school unit, an employer buying for staff, or an estate, Safe-Alert for Teams uses seats bought by the organiser rather than referrals. See Safe-Alert for Teams →
